The Rotary Club of Aberdeen Deeside has excelled itself as local artist Howard Butterworth steps up to the easel.

Each year the Rotary Club holds an art event in aid of charity. This year the event was in jeopardy as the previously nominated artist had to withdraw, and a new venue had to be found.  But event is going ahead at the Aberdeen Treetops Hotel on Sunday 17th May at 7pm

Intrepid Howard of The Butterworth Gallery in Ballogie will create a picture in front of the audience who will follow progress with the picture being captured live using a high-quality CCTV system and projected for all to see onto a cinema sized screen.   At the end of the evening the picture will be auctioned for charity.   There will also be a raffle on the evening and proceeds from this and the sale of the picture will be donated to Friends of Anchor, Teenage Cancer Trust and other Rotary charities.

Details of how tickets (£15, concessions £8) can be obtained are on the Rotary Club’s website.
